3 Day – Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Kazbegi
Day 1
Leaving Hotel for historical capital city of Georgia – Mtskheta. We will visit XI century cathedral “Svetitskhoveli and VI century monument – Jvari Monastery. Walking within the historic part of Mtskheta. After Mtskheta, leaving for Tbilisi where we will visit the fortress Narikala built in IV century from where you can see fascinating views on Tbilisi and river Kura. Walking within the old Tbilisi territory and after visiting the Sameba Cathedral, that is the main Christian orthodox church in Georgia. Sameba was built in 1995-2004 and it is the third-tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world. Overnight In Tbilisi in the hotel.
Day 2:
Leaving Tbilisi for Kazbegi. On the way to Kazbegi we will visit Ananuri fortress – one of the most interesting piece of Georgian architecture. Ananuri complex unites monuments related with religion, military and civil issues, that makes the complex very important and interesting historical monument in Georgia. Ananuri fortress is bordered from one side by Zhinvali reservoir with its fascinating views. In Kazbegi you will visit Gergeti holy trinity church, from where you can experience amazing views of glacier “Mkinvartsveri”. Overnight in Kazbegi in a guest house.
